Happy Birthday everyone!

 This Monday we celebrated everyone’s birthday. Our theme was enchanted birthday and we played pin the horn on the unicorn, musical chairs, we decorated a cupcake and sang along to a song from Tangled. 

October 7

Tonight we found out who our patrol leaders are and formed our patrols- robins, kingfishers, daffodils and bluebells.

We learned about and sang the Guiding Law Song.

Our craft tonight was a pumpkin made from fabric, a toliet paper roll, felt, a pipe cleaner and felt leaf.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

This week we elected patrol leaders and then our theme was learning about our Indigenous past.

We started with the story Shi-sho-etko. 

We coloured an indigenous computing sheet that had the Squamish words for  “every child matters”.

We also decorated orange shirt cookies. 

We will not be meeting on September 30 to honour the day of Truth and Reconciliation.

FALL 2024

Hello Everyone!
We are excited to announce that our unit (and the Embers and Sparks) will continue to meet at the same location as last Guiding year.
The building was sold and the Girl Guide organization was able to negotiate a new agreement to stay!
The new owners are the Chinese Tabernacle Baptist Church.
We look forward to working with the new owners and continuing to be good tenants. 

Our first meeting will be - September 9th and it will be a short meeting where the Guides will meet and there will be a parent/guardian meeting at the same time for about 30 minutes. 

Please order your uniform ahead of September to make you have the right size.

The T-shirt is the mandatory uniform and we recommend badge sash and tie (great for when we go outside the meeting location.

Congratulations to our advancing Pathfinders to be…Suki, Emma and Charlotte.

Our top cookie seller was Gabby this year.

We enjoyed our outdoor campfire complete with s’mores!
