Enrollment Night

 We are pleased to welcome all our new Guides.

Congratulations on joining this world-wide organization!

We made plastic milk jug lanterns using Mod Podge, trefoil cutouts, pressed ferns and sharpies! We added a tea light. 

We also decorated cookies, ate chocolate puddings and had decaf tea. 

Trip to the farm - October 17

The weather was amazing for mid-October. Not a drop of rain.

History of Guiding Week

This week we learned about the History of Guiding in the UK and in Canada.

We practised listening and following whistle signals.
We learned how to shake hands with other Guides.  
We practised our enrolment for two weeks from now.

During campfire we learned the Bedroll Song.

September 28 - Get ready to go camping!

This week we are practising how to make a bedroll.
Each Guide will receive a tarp and a rope to make a proper bedroll that should be waterproof.
We have a special song to help us remember what to do!
Guides will need to bring to our meeting- 
1) Sleeping bag    2) Pillow   3) extra blanket 

Picking patrols

This week we adding some bling to our name tags, on a colouring sheet we decorated promise and cut out fish to play a game later in the meeting.
We introduced ourselves and then elected our patrol leaders for the year.
Our patrol names will be...
1) Pansy 2) Poppy 3) Bluebird 4) Scarlet Tanager

We completed our Minty Cookie tonight. Cookie money will be due Nov. 1!
