Our first meeting for the fall will be Monday, September 14, 2026.
Please bring an adult family member with you for a short meeting from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Badges, pins, awards and prizes

Tonight we celebrated our year together.

We had a soccer theme and we walked to pick up our happy meals. Inside each box was a squishmallow in a team jersey. We tried the Tim Bits representing four of the FIFA countries.

We gave out special patches to those who helped sell cookies at Michael’s. We gave a special camper award to Lucy for selling 20 cases of cookies. She will be going to Camp Olave this summer.

We gave away a few prizes and used the prize wheel to do so.

A walk in the woods

 Even though the weather was cold and a bit wet, we went for a walk in wood! 

We learned to identify both evergreen trees or one with leaves. We learned about the forest in Pacific Spirit Park and even ate some new shoots!

Everyone who attended will earn a BC Girl Guides challenge parch! 

Cookout

 Our busy cookout had us learn to -

Cook over charcoal.

Make jam and cook it over a propane stove.

Grill vegetables on a bbq grill.

Make bannock and make s’mores!

Woodland creatures and ….

 This week we created our woodland creatures! 

A  lmk so we learned about hiking trail signs and we will practice this outside in the future.

We discussed what we needed to wear and bring on our forest walk.

We ended with a very short campfire.
