Weekend Camping

 The weather was great as our Guides camped alongside the Pathfinders.
A bif thank you to Wendy and Denise (the Pathfinder leader) for all the planning and shopping for this excellent weekend tent camping experience.

 

Camping 101

 Tonight we learned how to make a bedroll with our tarps and rope.

We made some decisions about what to wear and what not to wear.

To complete our evening we made an edible craft of a Guide in her sleeping bag.

Tour of Save-On-Foods

Thanks goes to our dietician guide Sian we learned about making good choices in each part of the store as part of healthy eating. We learned about what vitamins and minerals are in certain foods and why we should eat grains and cereals, a variety of nuts and seeds as well as information about dairy products and alternatives. 

Traveller's Badge Part 2

This week we are going to finish our Traveller's Badge.
This week we learned to talk to someone on the phone with the phonetic language, give directions to a tourist and learn about which part of the world different countries are in. 

Traveller's Badge Part 1

This week we started our Traveller's Badge.
We started our journey by making a luggage tag.
We discovered some of the most famous world sites and had a puzzle to check our memories. 
At campfire, we learned a few new songs and tried the Dutch Shoe game!
