Cook Out Success

Tonight we had our final cookout at Jacquie's house.
On the menu - hot dogs cooked over charcoal, vegetable skewers on the propane bbq and then for dessert really epic s'mores!
Thanks to our Pathfinder helpers!

Alder Acres Adventure

Congratulations to everyone who went on the overnight adventure at Alder Acres!
Here are a few pictures from that event.

Outdoor Cooking Part 1

This week we learned to light a Propane stove and fry our own bannock!
It was so yummy with blackberry jam.

We also learned to make a tripod that we can make a bigger version to hold a wash basin. See the camp craft we will be making at camp!

We also planted sunflower seeds in our part of the community garden. Fingers crossed they grow in this early summer heat.

WE can make bedrolls!

This week we used a tarp and a rope to make a bedroll.
If you forget how to make one before going to camp here is a video on YouTube!

This week we also started planting in our part of the community garden.
We weeded and planted some bedding plants as well as some sweet pea seeds along the fence!
Surprise one of our seeds from last year volunteered to bloom for us already!

Planets and Stars

We continued to work on our Astronomy Badge and made a Spring treat with fondant.
