Camp skills Night #1


Tonight we are beginning a series of evenings about outdoor camp skills.

Here is an introduction to cooking outdoors!
What types of camp cooking are there?

Our plan is to have a night of outdoor cooking.  

We will use 3 types of stoves and cook different food items on each.

The first type of cooking source we will use is a Tin Can Stove.
Use need to first make a buddy burner. 
Let's watch how to make one


ACTION-
Try to find a cat food container or tuna or salmon can.  Find some old cardboard and twist it into your can. Try not to leave space. At our meeting we will pour wax into it and stick some wicks into it.

GAME - Roll the dice for a drawing a picture from camp.
To roll the dice
If you roll a 
Roll a 2: Draw a dining shelter
Roll a 3: Draw a Leader (with a cup of tea or coffee!)
Roll a 4: Draw the weather on your campsite
Roll a 5: Draw a place to sit like some camp chairs or sit-upons
Roll a 6: Draw a favorite camp activity (such as archery, swimming, crafts etc.)
Roll a 7: Draw tents on your campsite
Roll an 8: Draw a campfire
Roll a 9: Draw yourself on your campsite
Roll a 10: Draw some wildlife on your campsite
Roll an 11: Draw a flagpole & a flag from your unit or home country
Roll a 12: Draw your favourite camp meal
